Meet Stefania: Massage Therapist in Exeter

I was born and raised in Genoa, Italy, and moved to London in 2006 after developing a long-standing interest in English culture and city life. I worked in the music industry, including as a tour producer for Andrea Bocelli, before a recurring back injury led me to physiotherapy and massage. The effectiveness of treatment during my recovery was the starting point of my path into bodywork.

I went on to complete my ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage at Hammersmith Hospital in London, with a focus on supporting people experiencing pain, tension, anxiety and musculoskeletal issues. This marked the beginning of my career as a therapist.

In 2017 I relocated to Exeter, where I spent five years renting a treatment space at the Massage and Wellbeing Centre, building a loyal client base and developing experience across both clinical and private practice settings. During this time I also worked in retreat environments, luxury settings such as The Pig at Combe, and alongside physiotherapists and chiropractors.

In 2022 I established my own full-time private studio in Exeter city centre.

Over the past decade I have continued to expand my training in specialist massage and bodywork techniques, including Remedial Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (including pre- and post-operative applications), Brazilian MLD, Maderotherapy, Myofascial Cupping, Hot Stone Massage, facials and Reiki.

My work focuses on personalised treatment for muscular tension, postural strain, pain relief and recovery. Each session is adapted to the individual, combining remedial techniques with a calm, restorative approach.
